WITHOUT PREJUDICE ... ICBC is in your face with ...a red light intersection enforcement cameraand their facial recognition software !"Be angry and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath" ICBC has a facial recognition capable intersection camera at Brunette Avenue and Braid Street New Westminster. Is the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia testing their facial recognition software in a real time exercise, without telling the public? Are you being surveillanced by ICBC and not being informed? Check out the following unlisted YouTube video, most likely taken from a van parked on Stewardson Way at Third Avenue, New Westminster ... ICBC uploaded this intersection surveillance video on December 10, 2010 ... ![]()
ICBC acts like BIG BROTHER, and the corporation acts like it IS the Crown? They have you in the crosshairs of their facial recognition cameras. But ... Just increase the yellow light by 1 to 2 seconds, and you eliminate the need for the red light intersection cameras. That one second decreases the number of drivers who run the lights to a point where it is no longer profitable to operate the red light intersection camera program. ICBC and the camera manufacturer (loses the bonus payment for each ticket ICBC issues) don't make any money. The money taken out of your monthly budget ... for an infraction that most probably would not happen if the traffic lights are better engineered, for safety, and to remove the stress out of intersection traffic patterns.
It is time for a provincial election. The NDP gave us ICBC. The Socreds aren't around. The Greens? — forget it. The provincial Liberals have taken ICBC to its ultimate end. ICBC is a crown corporation that thinks it wears the crown. We need a Russell Crowe to lead the Conservatives, who can read the Magna Carta, and the Charter of the Forest — two documents which form the basis our our Charter of Rights. ... enough of the political hoods — robin' us blind. |
